As a creative business owner, it can be hard to switch off fully for the Christmas holiday. It’s not always client work, but whether it’s the website, social media scheduling, or business planning, there’s always something that can be worked on, at any given time.
The studio shuts down for an extended period over the holidays (caveat: it was not this way when we started!) because rest is as important as doing when it comes to both us as humans and as creatives. Rest actually helps to be more creative, motivated and productive.
Every year I do an annual End of Year Wipe and shared this tip with the Creative Boom team to help their creative readers close down the year with ease.
