A couple of months ago I was invited by Jess Hellens, founder of Wild Coworking to write a guest blog post on the Wild website.
I had just returned from an accidental social media break and with the still-present emphasis on toxic productivity, coupled with burnout, I decided to write about my experience of a ‘forced’ break from social media.
I unintentionally took a break from Instagram (and Twitter, and my coworking group, and everything else digital pretty much…) a few weeks ago because I couldn’t open the apps without dreading what I might see.

Whether it was all the horrible news about what’s going on in the world, or the good things I was automatically comparing myself to – everything I was engaging with made me feel bad and made what I was trying to work on bad too. So I stepped away.
You can read the whole blog post over at Why I’m not hiding the fact I took a break from social media.
