Running a business is hard work. But just like people, it deserves some love too…even during the difficult moments. There are so many things that our businesses have enabled us to do, and sometimes we need a little reminder to share that gratitude out loud, or in this case, in the DMs.
I invited some founders to imagine they were sending a love letter to their business, and their responses are absolutely gorgeous.

You didn’t think I wouldn’t share my own love letter to Yoco Studio did you?
To my brilliant business,
I am so proud of you.
I like to think that you’re proud of me, too.
Because together we’re building something incredible. Something that just sort of happened, but feels like it was always supposed to. Against the odds, against what society says we should be doing, against expectations of what we’re supposed to be like, and this isn’t just helping me, but helping other women do what they feel they should be doing too.
I love that you have helped me discover so much about myself over the years.
I love that you allow me to show up as the real me, to lean into my strengths and never harshly judging my flaws.
I love that you encourage me to question what normal is when it comes to not just work, but life too. What success really means to me, and how I can try to reclaim what life should look like — and it turns out it’s a lot more pink than I would’ve thought without you. Who knew!?
I love that you let me be soft and do things with ease, because like you say all the time ‘who in their right minds wants to make things harder for themselves?’
I love that you celebrate joy as much as I do, and encourage play in the workplace. I wonder if you know just how important this seemingly small thing is for me, and how it spreads beyond me into the spaces and people around me.
Having a business was always something that was for other people (definitely not someone like me) and often I can’t believe that I get to do this. It’s hard at times, but I wouldn’t change it for the world — I am so grateful that you exist.
Here’s to another year of growing together!

I highly recommend taking a few minutes to stop and think about the things your business has enabled you to do, to leave, to figure out. It doesn’t need to be shared with anyone but yourself…but if you do end up sharing on social, please tag me so I can share the love too.
Big thanks to Hannah, Helen, Fiorenza, Beth, Jess, Lee, Lisa, Becky, Gabi, Hannah, Ellie, Celie, Leslie, Hannah and Maddy for sharing their love letters with us 💜
