This is part of our Small Days, Big Vibes content series, where we share ideas and tips to help you take advantage of fun days and increase your brand awareness with ease and a whole load of fun. Click here to see Q1’s post.
One of the weirdest celebration marked on my calendar, is my Jappaniversary. Yes, I celebrate the date I went to Japan for the first time. It was a big trip for me when I was recovering from burnout and was half doing something brave and half running away. As you can probably gather, those few weeks were nothing I imagined and everything I needed. Now each year I celebrate with a small cup of sake, that I bought from a temple during my visit, and take a moment to remember.
Small celebrations like this aren’t just nice, I think they’re necessary. When it comes to your business, tapping into awareness days can bring that same energy to your brand. It’s an easy content hook, a way to show what you stand for, and to be honest, just a bit of fun when the to-do list feels like a bit of a drag.
Making awareness days work harder for you
A quick Google search will show you that the awareness day calendar is absolutely packed…there’s literally something for every single day if you go looking (often multiple per day). But before you start planning content for National Pencil Day, pause.
The key is to be selective and only pick the days that actually make sense for your brand, not just because they’re trending. Choosing something randomly will water down your message, confuse your audience, and waste your time. Have a quick scan of what’s coming up and only commit to the ones that feel like a natural fit. This is upposed to be easy and aligned content after all! Yoco Studio shows up for International Women’s Day, Wear it Pink Day and Play Day every year because they align with who we are.
Below, you’ll find a handful of awareness days happening between April and June, along with some ideas for how to use them.

The beauty of these fun celebration days is that you don’t need to announce what you’re doing or go full campaign mode. The idea really, is to use them as inspiration to try something a little different or yourself permission to be a bit playful.
Your next steps:
- Pick a date — choose one or two that feel right for you
- Pick an idea — decide how you want to celebrate
- Pick a platform — based on your existing strategy (no need to do extra!)
Easy right? It’s all about ease and joy here! And well, you already know what I think about adding more joy to business. Go ahead and use any of the ideas above and don’t forget to tag @yoco.studio if you do — I’d love to see what you come up with.
